Adding Power or Electricity to SimCity Build it

Tap on the icon with 3 columns. Click on Power (lightning icon) and choose the applicable power plant for you. Red icons mean power will be flowing through it soon.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each.

Wind Powerplant
  • Powers you 6 units
  • Building price of 6000 coins
  • But does not disturb your neighborhood so you can build a wind power plant near residential houses
Coal Power Plant
  • Capacity is 12 units
  • Building price is only 4500 coins (as compared to wind power plant which is more expensive)
  • But it has a dirty radius of 10x10, you really have to build this far from the residential area, otherwise, the residents will complain

-- They will go on and talk to you throughout the game. Just follow their instructions. Happy playing!

How to Earn More Money in SimCity: Build It

EA's 2014 holiday gift to those who love building cities for iPhone and Android is the SimCity: Build It. They just launched it on December and I myself have been looking forward to playing it.

It's not as simple and gamer friendly unlike the other City Building games like Paradise Island and Rock Vegas. Here are the things you can do to earn more simoleons in Sim City Built It.

1. Build a City Hall

Build a City Hall when you reach level 5. Then you can collect money here because you get to collect taxes from your citizens. So make your citizens happy. The happier they are, the more taxes they will pay!

2. Make Deals

When you build utilities like power, water, parks etc., you will notice that there will be coins hovering on top of it from time to time. Click on the coins (not on the building) and you will be offered deals. This is one way to make money. Not much but at least you get simoleons if you need to.

3. Build and Upgrade residences

The more residents you have, the more you will earn!

4. Sell materials and supplies to other players

You can start selling items once you hit the 8,000 population

5. Earn Rewards!

Just play the game naturally and you will earn rewards. You can view the list on Mayor's House.
